Strong supporters of inclusion and diversity in the workplace, Everglades Country Club, recruited Steven, who found his dream job with the club in early 2019. Steven, whose front of house role includes customer interaction and ensuring the venue operates cleanly and efficiently, by picking up glasses, wiping tables and cleaning, completed his RSA and RCG with the assistance of JCAL, before completing industry experience and gaining employment.

Well known by Everglades Country Club staff and patrons alike, Steven who has Cerebral Palsy, has long term career aspirations to work behind the bar and continue to grow within the industry. ‘I absolutely love my job. I’ve always wanted to work in hospitality, and everyone at JCAL has been so amazing in helping me achieve my end goal”, said Steven. “I enjoy working with the customers at Everglades, and I’m proud to be able go the extra mile and help them out where I can. It makes their experience, and mine, in the club more enjoyable”.
