Job Centre Australia Central Coast candidate, Chris Crocker, is a well-known and much-loved face of Wadalba McDonald’s. Customers and colleagues have praised his enthusiasm and outstanding customer service skills for years, and now this month Chris, who lives with Asperger’s Syndrome, celebrates his 5 year anniversary in his role!

Chris’ hard work, positivity and dedication have been recognised throughout his career with McDonald’s, having received a number of accolades including employee of the month several times, and consistently receiving positive customer feedback on Google, Facebook and in-store.

Chris was also a finalist in the 2019 Wyong Business Chambers Awards for Young Employee of the Year, and is a volunteer of his beloved Central Coast Mariners (A-League soccer), earning him Volunteer of the Year in 2017.

Of the milestone, Chris’ manager, Richard Harris – McDonald’s Wadalba’s Area Supervisor, says: “Our staff have embraced Chris like he’s a superstar, and that’s great for our staff morale. While you may not know what that brings to your business, good staff morale improves customer service.

“With someone like Chris, it’s not about ability or disability, he’s just an asset to the business. On a lot of our Google reviews, people talk about Chris or the other workers we have in our network, it’s amazing.”

Chris says his favourite things about his job are being part of a great team, providing service with a smile,  and the procedures at McDonald’s which allows people of all abilities to succeed.

“This was my first job, and I’m absolutely more confident for being here,” says Chris, “I mainly do table service and table delivery, that’s where I’m getting a lot of compliments on how good my customer service skills are. I absolutely love what I do, so I’m very happy.”
