It has come to our attention there are emails and letters of demand being sent to members of the general public within India and Australia,
from a person and/or business attempting to impersonate Job Centre Australia.
The email and letter utilises our logo, office contact details and states there are a number of positions available, requiring the recipient
provide sensitive information and documentation, such as passport number and licence number in addition to admin and processing fees
of up to $800.
Job Centre Australia will never request sensitive information of this nature via email, nor will we request payment from candidates
for assisting them to gain employment.
What do you need to do?
– If you or anyone you know receives one of these emails, we ask that you kindly forward the email to firstname.lastname@example.org immediately.
– Do not click on any link or reply to the impersonator.
– Delete the email
